So I come on here to see if there's any chance of you coming to Edinburgh and realise I just missed an Edinburgh gig. Then I see there's a hometown (for me!) gig on my birthday in the Links in Montrose - a venue I've seen the 'Snakes in twice. and THEN I see there's a gig in Edinburgh the next night!! And THEN.....I see that Ryan's taken over on lead. It's almost too much to take in!! Fantastic stuff and can't wait to have a bit of live action again. Been spinning 'Snakes and Ladders' non-stop for a good few months now. Great stuff as always. :D

A fantastic show last night. Lights Out By Nine, you lads on top form, plus a small bite to eat, all for 10 quid ! I was almost embarrased. Haven't been at one of your gigs since Montrose a coupla years ago so was blown away by Ryan's development. What a joy.

It was good to grab a few words with Ryan and Chad. I hope you enjoyed your stay. Pretty cool setting,eh ?

You know you're always guaranteed a great welcome in this neck of the woods.

Truly Superb.

Mark.

Paul,

I am living near London now Paul, brilliant to see you doing well since we lived in the Bella Colliery i will try to get down for one of your gigs.
Seems like a long time since i used to knock on Paul Shorts wall to get you lot to shut up while you were practising, all that seems to have paid off, wishing you all the best Derek Mordue

Paul thank you very much for one of the best blues gigs I have attended. I started listening to the blues 25 years ago and seeing your band reminded me of what the blues is all about. love the driving rhythm and above all the the approach you bring to your music.
Ryan kicks ass on a major level, with the maturity aof knowing what to play but above all when and how to play with outstanding feel and empathy. All the masters are aparent and thrown into a melting pot of fusion that Stevie Ray and the three kongs would embrace. For budding guitarist ignore the shredding and bathe in the beautiful melodies and tonal playing Ryan brings!!
Your gig was a milestone for me, much as when I first was captured by blues. The authentic harp sound was awesome and although i have never seen either of the williamson or sonny terry i am sure they are sat on your shoulders everytime you play.
Just love the music being bigger than us all like a butterfly floating for all to appreciate and for none of us to own. I spoke briefly to you at the Southport gig and mentioned the buffalo dvd and I think you threw in a little harp kissing in the second half which i appreciated. Thanks again for a great gig and my new milestone of the wonderful appreciation and re-newed understanding of the blues an the journey we are all on - the music is king and you are sitting on the thone

Hi Paul

Just a note to say that I've watched your tutorial DVD so many times now the picture's beginning to fade. Is there a chance you might shoot a follow up?

Also, do you ever gig in Brum?

Best wishes
Dave

Paul and Chaps,
That was a fantastic show at the Market House, Weston Super Mare on saturday night. For those who weren't there, the band played in a small rockabilly type pub, no stage, set up in the corner, and they played for ages to an enthusiastic bunch of people. The soundman seemed to have constant problems but the band overcame it all and it was superb. To add to the atmosphere, great b/w footage of the likes of John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles and other greats was being shown on the wall/screen. We are Pete and Penny (down the front) originally from Muswell Hill and Westminster who bought the two cds from you Paul, many thanks for coming down. We'd journeyed to Bilston and back the previous night to see the Feelgoods/Nine Below Zero so it was like a Butlins weekend closer to home.Take care on your travels.

Greetings from Warsaw!Your concert in Lapidarium was really awesome!! It was so full of your souls and hearts. Beautiful piece of music. You really know, what blues is, and how to perform it live. I was really touched, when I've heard that clean sound of Ryan's Fender and Twin Amp (as I'm guitar player too)- man I think you will become my another guitar hero!! And of course that beautiful, distorted, vintage harp sound - I felt in love :D
I hope you'll come back next summer - or maybe try to play at Rawa Blues Festival! That would be cool!!
See you guys!!
P.S. My friend to whom I gave the DVD, sits since yesterday next to the TV without sleep, and is practicing:)
