JIM MERCER
Biography

Jim Mercer

Jim started playing guitar and working with blues bands in the late 60's. During the blues boom of the time, he changed to playing bass in 1970, the same year he played a gig with Muddy Waters Blues Band. ("That kept me going for months.")

In the 70's Jim mainly worked with Johnny Mars.

Involved in various projects during the 80's, one of which led to meeting and recording with Paul Lamb in 1989, Jim mainly freelanced in the early 90's and had been a regular member of the Gordon Smith Blues Band before joining the King Snakes in 1994.
